Dodd Leading In 2nd Quarter Fundraising With $1.2 Million
U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd’s re-election effort brought in more than $1.2 million in the second quarter of 2009, topping his first-quarter fundraising total and outpacing all other candidates in the race, his campaign reported Monday.
The Democratic senator received more individual donations from Connecticut than any other state, a sharp turnaround from his first-quarter filings, which showed only four contributions from Connecticut residents.
