Tough Economy for Pets

I suppose it’s just another sign of the tough economic times, but people are surrendering their pets in higher numbers and with donations down and adoptions down, it’s a real struggle for pet shelters around the country.

To help ease the pain, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, located in the Front Range Village on Harmony Road in Fort Collins will be offering the K-9 Bed & Biscuit no-kill pet shelter in Northern Colorado 10 percent of the proceeds from their fund raising event.

For more information about K-9 Bed & Biscuit or the ‘Feasting for the Furry’ event, call 352-5330 or visit www.k9BandB.org.
