Need Great Fundraising Ideas For Your Organisation Or School?
When a bit more money is needed for your school or organisation, a good way of raising some cash quickly is by arranging a fundraising event. If you are stuck for fundraising ideas then read on to get your creative juices flowing.
Sponsored events are always good such as a walk or run. Participants can be sponsored to complete a task, or for reaching certain targets. The event can be long or short - it’s up to you. If everyone is having fun and getting active, then it’s good all round.
Car boot sales are usually a good way of raising money and a way of recycling things that are no longer needed by their owner. This gives car boot sales green credentials too.
You could try fundraising fashion shows where people you know are the models and they model fashionable clothing from high street stores. The clothes are then available at a reduced price after the show. This is fun for children and parents alike and anything that they like on the catwalk can then be purchased after the show.
A disco or barbeque is always enjoyable - and money can be made from the door sales and food and drink, although good weather is needed for a barbeque, which isn’t guaranteed in the UK. A coffee morning is another similar idea.
Perhaps you could try a non-uniform day where people pay a fee to come to work or school dressed as they want to. This is easy to organise and doesn’t cost you anything so is a great money-raising idea.
An enjoyable way of raising money is to hold an auction of promises. People donate something, lend something they own or promise time. This is a great idea as people who don’t have much spare cash can still promise time to do things, which could be anything from cleaning to babysitting.
Fundraising events are a great way to raise vital money and are a bit of fun at the same time. Don’t forget to tell your local newspaper what you are doing and tell them the amount you have raised.
Remember, you don’t need to be a whizz at event management to hold a successful fundraising event, so why not give it a go?
