Light Up That Fundraising Effort!

Fundraising is probably one of the most important activities in our society. Whether it’s to get a friend through rough times or to collect money for research that will help end cancer, fund raising has become a vital link. Fundraising may transform an individual’s course of life. Because of how powerful the impact of fundraising can be, it pays for people to be attentive while planning events that hold the intention of raising funds for a business or non-profit organization.

If you’re creating a fundraiser for a non-profit group, perhaps a cocktail party at the home of the organization’s leader would be in order. This is a fantastic way to not spend money that could otherwise be spent on renting a catering hall or other expensive location. Further, it is often productive to hold the fundraiser where the host either has received the organization’s assistance in the past or presently could implement its assistance. Guests may hear from these beneficiaries involving how the non-profit group has helped them and why it is crucial to fund the organization.

A cocktail party fundraiser must always have a good, high end feel, as this is what the guests will be expecting. People who donate money to the cause will feel more at ease in a classy place and it is crucial impress them. Set out tables with appetizers and hors dourves. Another memorable touch is to have a fire pit about the patio or in the backyard. Inviting attendees to make s’mores will provide a little fun to the event, and one cannot find fault with that. Alternatively, perhaps an even better idea is to take on teenagers from the neighborhood as servers to make the s’more for the guests who are donating to the non-profit organization.

More modest companies could implement a similar plan when looking for a way to entice investors into the fold. Funding from angel investors typically is a big source of capital for little businesses. A great method of making an impression on investors is to provide a powerful presentation which the guests do not readily forget. What greater way to enhance your presentation then to do so in front of fire pits. And this increased concentration will further assist in giving your presentation staying power.

The next time you are in charge of planning a fundraiser, simply consider hosting a cocktail party. Keep costs low by soliciting volunteers for the event so that hiring bartenders and dinner staff is not necessary. This way, you can save money that should go toward your start-up business or non-profit organization!
